Connito

Oh our little Conner. Connito! I don't think I could tell you how many times a day this boy makes me laugh and smile. He is such a funny kid. He loves to get a reaction out of people. He has a great sense of humor. He is an incredible athlete and just has raw, natural talent. He is also one of the most sensitive kids. Even though he can be crazy and rough and all boy, he is also very easily affected. He loves to give kisses and hugs and show his love for others. He is a kid that will hug anyone that he considers a friend, even if they have only met a few minutes ago. I just feel so lucky to have this fun, handsome, incredible little guy as my son.
In February Conner started his first season of tball at the sportsplex. Soccer hadn't gone so well, but tball seemed safe given the fact that there is not a lot of physical contact and he wouldn't have to feel bad taking the ball from anyone. Plus, he had been watching his big brother play it and was anxious to play himself. And he did great! Not only did he catch on quick and learn a lot of good skills, but he really seemed to be enjoying himself as well. Even if he was upset to be on a team with a purple shirt.

And yes, he is 4 and can sometimes find himself a bit distracted.
One thing I have learned about Conner is that he has a style of his own, and you can't even try to convince him otherwise. For awhile this boy was completely obsessed with dressing in character. He was always something. For a LONG time it was a pirate. He wore this Jake bandana day and night, Everywhere we went....EVERYWHERE! And after awhile he got Very particular about How his hair had to be with his bandana on and he would have you take it off and on, off and on a million times a day, just to re-adjust his hair. Such a silly kid.
The other thing that Conner started to embrace was basketball shorts. And slowly but surely he got to the point that he wanted to wear basketball shorts and Only basketball shorts and time he had to be "out of character" and in normal clothes. Love this boy! This picture above is us at the mall. We walked past this skeleton in the store window and he got So excited and wanted a picture with the "zombie skeleton". I kept telling him to smile but he would only make this face.

Conner and his buddy Rawson. It is so fun to see Conner getting bigger and starting to make friendships and relationships on his own.

Another one of Conner's creations....marshmallow creatures. I seriously can't remember how this happened. I think one day we were having marshmallow and decided to make a snow man out of them and it somehow turned into this. And then for awhile it became his favorite treat. By the way, the picture above with his bandana on is how he became Obsessed with his hair being.
