There's nothing as special as time spent together as a family.
Todd had suggested that we take the kids to do something fun over the Memorial Day weekend. So on Memorial Day we loaded the kids up in the car, took a drive over the Coronado Bridge and into Downtown. We parked over at Seaport Village and took a nice walk along the embarcadero. The kids (and the parents) had a really good time seeing the ocean, looking at all the Sailboats and Ships and even a Submarine! They were a little bit disappointed that we were not going on the ships, but we will definitely save that for some other time in the near future!

But it was a gorgeous day down by the water (aside from the big crowds and difficult parking). It was so nice to get outside, walk around together and just spend some time together, all 5 of us, doing something out of the norm.
My 4 most favorite people in this world!
A close up of Kellen from the previous picture. Such a silly boy. Totally appeasing the parents.
Makenna was playing photographer while we were walking back to the car. She was hilarious. She would take a picture and then turn it around to me and say "Look Mom, what a great shot!"
After a few hours in the sun a diet coke and nice lunch were in order. We took the kids over to the Corvette Diner and had a fun lunch. It's always nice to just relax, enjoy being silly and have fun with each other. Our kids are pro's at this already, so maybe it is just nice to give the adults a good excuse to get silly right along with the kids!
We girls feel a bit out numbered these days (especially as Conner is getting a bit older and starting to take upon his role of being another little boy in the family).
Conner, happy, as always!
