Flowers, Flowers....and more flowers

One of our favorite and most memorable days while Grandma and Grandpa were here was when we went to the Carlsbad Flower Fields. It was a warm day, but the sights were absolutely gorgeous. And I truly think that the kids were as excited and enjoyed the flowers just as much as the adults.

I love kids in hats. There is just something cute about it. And when you put my cute kids in hats it just doesn't get any cuter!!
As we went into the flower fields each of the kiddos received a little passport that they were to keep with them. At each different station through the flower fields they were able to stamp their passport. The kids loved this! It was such great way to keep the kids excited and entertained.
Making our way through the flower maze (which was actually a fair bit tricky!)

Eventually we did conquer the maze...mind you it was the women that found their way out first ;)
Makenna adopted the job of flower photographer throughout the day. Not too bad Makenna Mae.

We love Grandma and Grandpa so much and cherish every moment we have together. We appreciate so much the time they take to come down and see us every year. I know that they are memories that will last a lifetime and be looked back on fondly throughout the year. I truly believe that your time and relationship with your grandparents really shapes a part of who you are and who you become.
