Spring has Sprung

Now that Makenna understands and is aware of the changing seasons she has coupled each season with an activity she is looking forward to. Winter was supposed to be a visit to the snow. Sadly that did not happen...I promised one next year. Spring is flying kites, Summer is swimming and Fall is Halloween. So, with the arrival of Spring we ran to the store and got our dollar kites (which in my opinion are the very best kites you can get. They are a piece of cake to assemble....the task can easily be accomplished while keeping a baby from eating grass and rabbit poop as well as make sure the two older ones are not killing each other or running away. They get up in the air with hardly any effort at all. And if they get stuck in a tree or on a roof, no big deal....it only cost you a buck!)


We had a very successful trip to the park with our kites and got some good kite flying in and a had a lot of fun doing it! The kids are now ready to abandon Spring and move onto Summer and swimming. I told them they must be patient and give the seasons a chance to catch up with their enthusiasm!
