Maternity Pics

So the other day my Amazing photographer of a sister took some belly pictures for me. I am sooooo happy with how they turned out....I can't imagine them having been any better.
I haven't really had a chance to go through them and find all my favs, and a few have to be worked on a little, but here is a sneak preview of how they turned out. I will putting up more soon. Also, I am now 35 weeks prego! WooHoo! Although I am totally excited that we are drawing to a close, I am also a bit freaked out because the nursery is still a mess and we need a few more essentials before we are quite ready.
On top of that, I had an apt today. The baby is doing great and seems healthy as can be. But I am already 50% effaced and 1/2 cm dilated. That is a bit more than my doctor would like to see at only 35 weeks, so she told me I Had to SLOW DOWN so that we can make sure he stays in there at least 2 more weeks (we want to make it to 37 wks so he is considered "term"). So I am taking her advice and am even more worried about getting everything ready before his grand entrance. I am sure it will all work out. But who knows, this little guy could be here sooner rather than later....Yikes!

Yes...My Kid is My Life...

I swear, when I have other exciting things in my life to take pictures of and post about, then I will. But seriously, I spend my time cleaning, running errands, or playing with Makenna. I'm thinking Makenna is the most exciting out of all those.
And she's cute, so deal with it!
Makenna and Daddy opening up her birthday presents from Grandma and Grandpa McKamey!
Our little artist improving her painting skills with the art easel Mommy and Daddy got her for her birthday.
Makenna will now smile (a very fierce smile) when you ask her too, however, you get closed eyes as a trade off. I think it is cute...for now :)
She insisted upon us both wearing her Mr. Potato Head glasses (They make my head look huge!!) How could I not take a picture?

The Big 2!

Our little baby girl is 2 years old today! I can't believe it. For some reason being the mother of a 2 year old just sounds weird to me. It still amazes me some days that I am a mom...let alone that I have been doing this for 2 years already. She just makes my life so complete it is amazing. She is such a fun little girl....I can't get enough of her.
On Saturday we had a party down at the park for her. She woke up Sat morning not feeling too well and with a bit of a fever. But she was a total stud and made it through her whole party and was in good spirits. There were a few moments that she looked like she was feeling misserable, but she kept on going and having a good time.
She was able to call her birthday her "Happy Day" which was really cute. I don't know that she understands what a "Birthday" actually is, but she knew that everyone was there for her and she had a good time with it.
She passed out in the car on the way home and woke up a few hours later throwing up. I felt so sad for her. It was our first time ever having her throw up and she looked very scared and confused by what was going on. I was amazed at how easy it was to let my little girl vomit all over me and not be grossed out by it at all. I was just sad for her. It's not fair that she had to be sick on the day of her party.
I just love my daughter so much and am so proud to be called her mother. It is amazing how much she has grown/learned/matured in the last year. I feel so lucky to spend every day with her, watching her develop into her own little person.
We love you so much Makenna. Happy Birthday! You will always be our baby!

Makenna and her Gram (they look Soooo much alike, I love it!)

Kenna and her Papa goofing around together.

Getting shy while everyone sang to her. This is the second year she would not eat her birthday cake :( My kid is weird!I guess watching a two year old open gifts is not That compelling to some :)

How we ended the evening....throwing up and with a fever. Poor kiddo.

"daddy painting!"

Todd has been taking a lot of his vacation time lately to get things done around the house before the arrival of Mr. Baby Kellen. He has painted the nursery, the bathroom, Makenna's room and the hallway....it has been A Lot of painting. So much painting that Makenna's phrase for Daddy is now "Daddy Painting!" It's pretty cute, but it tells you how much time he has really spent with a paint brush and roller in hand.

Everything has turned out Great! The nursery does not have decorations on it yet, so you have to wait to see those pics. But here is Makenna's Room! I am soooo happy with how it looks...it's so cute and girly!

I know that the Elmo bedding set does not really "go" with the rest of her room, but I will explain in a second....

Our little girl has fallen In Love with Elmo. No joke! She couldn't care less about princesses and other girly things. She used to really like Mickey Mouse and the Wiggles....until she discovered Elmo. It was seriously love at first sight. So we took a lot of peoples advice and got her a bedding set that she would be excited about...Elmo! And boy did it work! She was hugging and kissing her "Elmo Pillow" and "Elmo Bed" all night while we were getting it set up. When we tell her it is "nigh night time" she runs to her "elmo bed" and starts kissing Elmo and telling him "nigh night elmo." We put her in bed, tell her goodnight, leave the room and never hear another sound. And if any of you know Makenna, it is Amazing that she is staying in that bed all on her own free will. Nap time is a different story, but hey, I won't complain! So, Thank You ELMO!

Here is our bathroom after the remodel. I really wish that I had remembered to take a before picture, because the transformation is amazing. It had a cracked counter top, ugly vanity, the floor was half carpet, half hideous linoleum....the only things that are the same are the toilet and the tub itself. Everything else is new. It is the coveted place to be now!
