Our Form Of Discipline

Sometimes They Get A Little Out Of Control.
A Moms Gotta Do What A Moms Gotta Do.

Puppy Pals, Take Two

As some of you know, we added a small addition to our family about a month ago. Or should I say, attempted to add. We purchased a really, really cute little pup (a cavalier king charles spaniel) and named her Nelly. Well, Nelly drove us all up the wall! Even Makenna seemed annoyed by her. She was just so small and in your face, or lap, ALL THE TIME!
So we offed her :)
We decided that in the case of our family, bigger is better.
So meet the much bigger, better and beautiful addition to the fam, Bella!
Bella has been Amazing! She is adorable, very sweet, great with Makenna, doesn't try to crawl in your lap, and can be kicked outside when we need a break.
And she is already teaching Makenna how to sit and wait patiently for treats :)

Bean McKamey

Todd and I found out a month ago that we are expecting a new addition to the family.
We are about 8 weeks pregnant. The baby, also known as "the bean" for the time being, is due Sept 29th.
We are all absolutely thrilled!
Mommy is feeling A LOT more nauseous this time around, and is not just having morning sickness, but all day sickness (minus the vomiting, thank goodness!) Makenna's nap time has turned into mommy and Makenna's nap time.
Daddy is dealing with a hormonal, sick wifey, and doing it gracefully. He has already learned to tell me I look beautiful all the time, offer to make me toast in bed when I feel sick, and take over the cooking when the smell of the chicken is making me gag.
Makenna is practicing on her baby dolls how to give them bottles and says "mmmm..." while she puts it in their mouth. She is clueless to the fact that she will have a live brother or sister to deal with this summer, so we just say that she is excited, regardless of how she would really feel. That's what she get for not speaking up herself :)

Meet The Moose

Makenna Mae McKamey
AKA Kenna, Moose (moosey, moosey goose), Boo Boo, Maky, Princess, Mae Mae, Boosey, etc.
Age: 18 months
Height: 31 1/4 inches tall
Weight: 23 1/2 pounds
Hair: Blond, curly, frizzy at times, exceptionally longer in the back than on the top of her head. Bangs are non existent at present time.
Eyes: The most stunning blue you have ever seen. Seriously, take a look.

Favorites
Belonging: one of two silky blankies, also known as her "boom boom". She has a green one (as appearing in photo) and a pink one that she loves equally. She does not discriminate.
toy: Any book. She loves to read! Or her soft blocks at Grammy and Gramp's house.
food: cheese or berries
word: "NO!"
phrase: "Oh, No!" said with an extremely concerned expression and much worry and passion in her voice.
song: Old McDonald (she will sing E I E I O)

Makenna has embraced the Toddler world with arms wide open. With that, she has further embraced her independence and a bit more of a stubborn streak than already existed....if that is possible. Though the child could kill with the dirty looks and scowls she is more than capable of, she is the happiest little girl I know. She loves to give kisses and high five, she would dance to The Wiggles for hours if we would let her, and loves to make people laugh. She thrives being the center of attention and only pretends to be shy when she knows it will work to her advantage.

Oh, So In Love

Here we Are. Man and Wife. Ridiculously in love.
Todd and I were married on November 17th, 2007. That is right folks, 3 whole months. Sometimes it feels like it has flown by, other times it feels like we have been married forever...in a good way of course.

As embarrassing as it is to admit, we were sort of set up by my mom. (Needless to say, my parents fully support our happy union.) As cheesy as it is, it felt like love at first sight. We both knew we had found the person we wanted to spend forever with, so we figured, why wait. We were married within 4 months of dating (I know, we are crazy) and we haven't looked back since.

Todd treats me like a queen and lets me take full reign of the household. He works for the Department of Defense and loves spending time with his wifey :) His wifey loves spending time with him too!!
